1、耳朵特征

纯种的柯基犬，耳朵都是中等大小，耳朵呈接近三角形状，耳尖略圆。自鼻尖有一条线通过眼部，延伸靠近或通过耳尖位置。

如果柯基犬出现耳朵过大、不能立耳，往往是失格或基因不纯的特征。

2、口吻部特征

纯种的柯基犬，口吻部长度和头部比例是3：5，鼻子都是黑色，口吻部越接近鼻尖就越细，外表头版看起来像一只狐狸（尖嘴）。

如果你家的柯基犬不符合上面特征，尤其是出现宽嘴，就很可能是一只串串了！

3、躯干和肩高特征

纯种柯基犬是中等躯干，身体较长，从上方来看，略呈圆锥形状。一般肩高在25厘米~30厘米之间，公犬体重在10~12kg，母犬体重在9~11kg。

肩高体重远超出理想标准的，都是失格或血统不纯的表现。

4、胸部和尾巴特征

柯基犬的胸部宽深，在两腿前自然下垂，肋骨扩张性良好，柯基的尾巴相对比较短，没有断尾的时候，尾巴和背线在同一直线上，在运动或警惕状态下，都是竖起在背线上。

如果你家柯基不符合这项特点，说明失格或基因存在缺陷。

5、毛发特征

彭布罗克威尔士柯基犬，一般都是双毛色或三色，标准颜色为红色、黑貂、浅黄褐色、黑色和棕色。毛发为中等长度，直毛，毛发不宜过软，呈现波浪状或钢丝状。

跟上述条件不符合的彭布罗克威尔士柯基犬，可能出现失格或血统不纯的原因。
